AN INTERNSHIP GONE WRONG

You play as Eugene, an intern at a microbiology company. By sheer accident, you're shrunken down and sent to the microscopic world. No more bringing your boss coffee. Your new task: find the gene that can regrow a human body from a single finger (gross.)

It would seem you're not the first to embark on this journey, but you'll definitely be the first to come back from it. You have a date next Sunday after all. While you're there, maybe you can find out what happened to the previous scientist (and her notes)?

Of course, something's fishy going on behind the scenes. There's something they're not telling you. You've had workplace drama before, just not on that... scale. You might have to become a little more involved in this than you had hoped. Oh well.

A UNIQUE CONCEPT

The only first-person exploration game set in the microscopic world. A project inspired by actual science, as well as our imaginations.

Investigate an alien-looking world based on actual research. Fly aboard your nanoship, or scour the microcosmos on foot... at your own risk.
Scan and decrypt the DNA of bacteria, amoebae and other creatures. Unlock new abilities. Will you find the legendary gene that holds the key to immortality?

A REAL WORLD

We didn't have to invent any of this.

Amoebae that gather when food runs out, build a stalk together, and launch their own tip into the air to find somewhere better.

Single cells that build their own glass shell, in a geometry no two species share.

Bacteria that trade genes with each other like tools, and become something new.

Every organism depicted in the game was put to scale, so you could walk among them.
Designed in collaboration with microbiologists Dr Thomas Becking and Dr Tania Louis.
